And it is a way of life for the BMW rider, using, as it has for almost its entire life, the horizontally opposed 'Boxer' engine. The R32, first in the series, arrived in 1923 with further machines in regular succession until we reach the R80; all reflect, like their four-wheeled counterparts, their cubic capacity. This R80 is the 'Road Touring' (RT) version complete with full touring kit including front lockable cubbyholes and rear lockable panniers. The full faring (designed by Porsche) is in good order with no obvious damage. The history includes original delivery documentation, ongoing bills, a new UK registration certificate and a full one-year MOT test certificate. A reliable and elegant classic motorcycle.
